Evolution Ends UKGC Licence Review With £4.75m Settlement
Evolution has agreed to pay £4.75 million to settle a licence review by the UK Gambling Commission (UKGC), ending an investigation that began in December 2024.
The review focused on claims that Evolution’s games were available on six unlicensed gambling websites that could be accessed by players in the UK.
The supplier said the issue involved two operators that had bypassed restrictions. After discovering the problem, Evolution ended its business relationships with both companies.
During the investigation, the UKGC found no evidence that Evolution’s games were widely available through unlicensed operators in the UK.

At Evolution, we always want to do what is right, and it is not acceptable that six unlicensed sites offered Evolution content in the regulated UK market.
The company said it has strengthened its compliance procedures by introducing additional safeguards to prevent unauthorised distribution of its games.
The licence review became public in December 2024 and raised concerns among investors, causing Evolution’s share price to fall. However, the company has now confirmed that the case has been resolved and it will continue supplying games to licensed operators in the UK.
