Infoblox Identifies 1.7 Million Domains Linked to Illegal Chinese Casinos

Cybersecurity company Infoblox is tracking more than 1.7 million domains connected to Chinese-language illegal casinos, according to a report published on September 15, 2026.

The domains are mainly linked to services targeting mainland Chinese players and money-laundering groups. Infoblox noted that the figure does not represent 1.7 million separate operators or websites, as the networks regularly create and rotate domains when existing addresses are blocked.

The report divided suspicious casino sites into three categories: platforms supporting illegal gambling and money laundering, fake casinos that prevent customers from withdrawing funds, and casino-themed pages used to hide cyberespionage infrastructure. The 1.7 million domains relate specifically to the first category.

Infoblox also identified a recently active domain using the Venetian Macao name alongside casino and gambling-style video games. The company said major casino brands appearing on these sites are generally being impersonated and are unlikely to be connected to the operations.

Two technical networks accounted for around 81% of the tracked Chinese-language casino domains. The four largest clusters represented approximately 99.5%.

Infoblox said blocking individual domains has limited impact because operators can use large pools of replacement addresses and redirect users when domains are restricted.
